Up and down the country, thousands of school kids are sitting exams, to some they are crucial as the final outcome will have bearing on their futures, their walk in life, and to a large extent determine which branch on the tree of life they will find themselves.
It is not just those in years 10, 11, 12 and 13 taking exams, to whom they are of the most importance, but school children in years 7, 8 and 9 are taking them as well...part of their education, end of year success or failure, being nurtured and trained to know what to expect in their final years of schooling...that's fine as long as Mr Gove does not stick his ore in once too often!
When my child sits there, a blank look on his face, fiddling with the pen or pencil, holds his head in his hands, crouches over and looks around at the others, starts to sweat with fear, fidgets and sighs because he cannot figure out what to write then I want you to know he is trying his best.
But most important, did you write your name on the paper??
